Many different legislative bodies, depending on where you are.

In the US, Congress passes federal legislative laws. State legislative bodies (sometimes called Assemblies, sometimes under other names) pass state laws. And then there are local city and county ordinances, which are still legislatively passed.

Other countries have similar multi-level legislative systems.
