O J Simpson was found liable for the deaths of Nicole Simpson and Ronald Goldman yet hes a free man, what sort of American justice is this? If he killed them then surley he should face the death penalty like other murderers.
Its hard to have any sympathy for his defence laywer Johnnie Cochran who died of a brain tumour.

He wasn't found "guilty" technically.

Just my personal opinions, but I suspect it was a combination of a brain dead jury and maybe a little payback for the Rodney King acquittals.

Perhaps, too, a little intimidation of the repercussions that might have followed the trial if he had been found guilty - a possible repeat of the riots that followed the King trial.

A lot of the evidence - especially the DNA and other lab work - was simply too complex to be taken seriously as proof by the jurors - and it was poorly presented by the prosecution.

And, oh yeah, he had a multi-million dollar defense team along with media coverage that was more concerned with Marsha's new hair do than the actual trial.

In short - the whole fiasco, from the white Bronco "pursuit" to the verdict was nothing more than a media circus - and a travesty of justice.

First, I believed he did killed Nicole Simpson & Ronald Goldman. But, He was tried in our Court System and found ''Not Guilty". and in our Judical System, you are innocent until proved Guity. To get the Guilty verdict he must be Guilty beyond the shadow of a doubt. I do believed their main witness Mark Furman did taint the evidence, which Johnnie Cochran proved. Anytime you taint evidence you are not getting a "Fair Trial". The Jury under instructions adhere to the Law of the land
In a Civil Court, the proof is not beyond a shadow of doubt. There is no Jury , the Judge only need to believe he is Guilty of the Crime.

O J was found not quilty in his trial that's why he is not on death row. The civil suit was for monetary gain not the death sentence. And a lawyers job is to defend people that IS your justice system, and I might add Cochrane did a good job as a lawyer. Wouldn't you want a good lawyer if you were faced with any kind of charges??????

There may be an inmate or two on Death Row who are innocent, but there sure as hell aren't any there without a conviction - and OJ wasn't convicted of anything.

On the news tonight, it was reported that Rupert Murdoch has wisely rescinded his bad decision to air a two-part TV movie based on OJ's new book. Smart man. He apologized to the families of the victims for having used such poor judgment.

That's more than any of them ever got from OJ.

He was found not guilty in a criminal court. Small claims, the family got the ruling they wanted. The evidence ruled him out, what more do you want, a time machine? He didn't do it; his only crime is using a tragedy to sell books, which isn't all that better, if you ask me.

I hope NO ONE buys his book. That man got off because he was a rich celebrity. He definately murdered his ex-wife and Ronald Goldman.

It isn't justice. He wasn't found guilty in the criminal trial and it is easier to find someone guilty in a civil suit the. US justice system is very messed up and no one is willing to do anything about it

money and power.....the american way....clearly mr. simpsons' ego couldn't allow him to carry his secret to his grave. mr. cochrans' guilt gave him a brain tumor.....but he is not the first criminal defense attorney to defend a felon. very sad, especially for the families of the deceased. the fact that a publisher entertained the idea of publishing the book shows capitalism is hard at work....thankfully it's been pulled.....but i'm sure mr. simpson has received enough money to live off it for now.

The only reason he is still walking around is because he had the money to buy his freedom . If it had been somebody who had no fame or money they would have been put to death within months of the murders, It proves that if you have money you can get away with murder.
