If you had an online friend for more than a year and you both got very personal and got to know each other well and then they became wrapped up in their career and sort of "forgot" about you, and then suddenly got back in touch would you respond or just forget it and move on? I find it a little perplexing..not quite sure what to make of this. Serious comments and suggestions are welcomed.

Respond to your friend. We all tend to get busy and not realize that we have lost touch. My best friend from 4 yrs old and I losts touch at 19 and ten years later got in touch again. Obviously they did not "forget" about you because they got back in touch. Our lives become so complex that someone or something (job, illness, family) could have come into their life that stopped the contact. Respond, rebuild the friendship. Bet you will find out why they stopped communicating. Good Luck to you. Alda
