Since getting my tubes tied in April of this year, I noticed I have bad cramps and that my periods only last 2 days. Does this sound normal, I am only 29 years old. I feel like 2 days is too short, and that I am not cleaning myself out. Any advice?

hello,
well i have a tubal and i didn't have cramps before i had it and now they feel like i am giving child birth all over again....and my periods are 3 days compared to 7...i found out that when they tied my tubes that one they folded over after they burnt it and the nerve isn't dead like it was supose to be....and the shorting of the peroid is that the egg isn't there to be furtalized like it was before they tied them....so it is absoulty normal for it to be this away...

if you are worried, talk to the doctor who did the surgery. however, some people have two day periods, some longer. I wouldn't worry too much about it if there are no other symptoms.

p.s. try aleve (naproxene) for your cramps

It will eventually or should anyways go back to normal but check with doc just to be safe.

2 days is fine.. be thankful.. the older you get the less shedding you do. i found it to be a true blessing myself.
