Even though I'm pale and I know the apparant look of a goth is white skin and eye-liner, what about dark skinned goths? Surely anyone can be a goth without having pale skin?

Of course. The idea of pale skin as a prerequisite for gothness is a media concoction - goths come in all colors, shapes and sizes. If you'd like to learn more, visit goth.net. I personally wish you the best of luck.

Pale skin is almost required, I think, to be a real goth, cause you have to be white trash. Otherwise, it's just 'vampirical' or something.

Definitely. I've known black and Mexican goths and they looked goth.

there were dark skinned goths but with the dark clothes they all got run over
