I don't know if they should be considered "slutty", but you are wearing way too much make-up for your age. A 13-year-old who is that made-up looks like she's trying to attract male attention, which might be where the "slutty" part comes in. You need to wait for a few years before you start the whole deal with the opposite sex. At your age, appropriate make-up should be limited to a bit of powder and very light or clear lip gloss. At your age, your skin is young and fresh, and your eyes are clear and bright (or they should be, if you eat right and get enough rest). Leave the heavy make-up to adult women who might need the "help." As far as it boosting your self-confidence, you need to develop confidence in who you are and your own best points, not rely on make-up to do it for you. Finally, enjoy the age you are and act that age. You have many years to experiement with make-up and to do other "grown-up" activities. You won't believe me now, but it's true--time passes quickly and one day you'll wish you were 13 and able to skip out of the house with nothing but a comb and tube of lip gloss in your purse.

I am 14yrs. old and I have to say when I see that I think that it is very demeaning to young women. It makes boys think the wrong think about them. I love pretty clothes but I do have a limit for my bust line, skirt length, and how tight my clothes are(being a curvaceous girl myself). About the makeup I do wear it sometimes and I mean every blue moon. I don't wear cheap whore looking makeup caked on my face I actually went to a cosmetologist and had her show me how to do my makeup. That way I wont look like I have on too much makeup and so I will natural. But usually only wear it for special occasions.

I am a mother of a 13 year old boy, and it amazes me how most of the girls are allowed to dress. I understand individuality, and being young, but give me a break !!! My opinion is that it is more of an issue of bad parenting. I personally think 13 is too young to do it...

It's disgusting. My friends and I call them prosta-tots...a girlfriend of mine is a teacher and she was saying that 10 and 11 year olds are starting to wear crap like that and have attitudes. She was saying that these girls are developing younger and that this is a result of it. Also, looking at some of these girls' parents... wow. Honestly, if the girls are allowed to leave the house like that...what does it say about their parents. Overall I think it's a bunch of different factors, mainly lack of parental competence

I think it is inappropriate. It seems they are in a great big hurry to look 30. They also don't realize the damage they may be doing to their skin.

it sickens me - but they are doing far worse than just looking like sluts. I have a teenage son, and one 14 year old has sent him picture-messages of herself that are pornographic. I don't know her parents, but if I did, I'd be asking them why they aren't keeping an eye on their daughter.
