I'm going to consider that most of the tracks you want should be somewhat slow, calm, and without any swear words or suggestive themeing. Here are some popular tracks to try.
Really good tracks for project:
Ballad for My One True Love - Mason Jennings
Falling - Comas
Aint No Mountain High Enough - Marvin Gaye
Like a Star - Corinne Baily Rae
100 Years - Five for Fighting
The Blower's Daughter - Damien Rice
I Found a Reason - Cat Power
Wind Cries Mary - Jimi Hendrix
Big Yellow Taxi - Counting Crows
Decent tracks for project:
Don't Know Why - Norah Jones
Wheat Kings - Tragically Hip
Delicate - Damien Rice
Sky Starts Falling - Doves
Life Less Ordinary - Carbon Leaf
The Remedy - Jason Mraz
World I Know - Collective Soul
Your Song - Elton John
Burt Bacharach has a number of tracks that might work well, if you enjoy his style of music (What the world needs now // Raindrops keep falling on my head)
Almost every Jack Johnson song would work, as well.
I hope any of these could help. Good luck.

Smile by Uncle Kracker

It's a happy song, can be used for family. I saw this song while watching a Johnny Depp and her daughter video tribute. It's not slow, not dramatic, just happy and sweet :D Imagine happiness and rainbows and sunshine

Well, it depends on what kind you want. A good "soft" song would be "May Angels Lead You In" by Jimmy Eatworld. Or "You're Beautiful" by James Blunt. One more would be "My Wish" by Rascal Flatts.
