Standart form of a line refers to an equation of a line where the coefficients of the variables are integers, and the line is set equal to a constant. This is represented by : ax + by = c where a and b are integers.

Slope-intercept: y = mx + b (m = slope, b = point where line crosses y axis)
Standard form: ax + by = c

slope intercept form:

Ax + By = C where A, B, and C are arbitrary constants

y= mx + b

y is the dependent variable
m is the slope- if you have two points it can be found by
(y2-y1) divided by (x2-x1)
x is the independent variable
b is the intercept- the point where the line crosses the x axis or the point where x=0 and y = whatever is the correct number to solve the equation
