Anyone know why a refrigerator would stop? What could be wrong?

My guess is your circuit breaker popped.
Go to wherever your electrical panel is and look for a circuit switch that is maybe in the halfway position. Turn it all the way off and back on again.
If it pops again, either (1) you have something else plugged into the same outlet/circuit as the fridge and it's overloading the system or (2) your fridge has a problem and is drawing too much current.

As a first step, check is there is current at the electricity receptacle by unplugging the refrigerator and plugging another appliance.

If the rest of your electric is still on, then check the fuse or breaker.
