Turkey is pretty lean meat, so you can have that - just avoid the skin. Have a small scoop of mashed potaotes, smaller than your fist, just to taste. It won't hurt if you don't eat too much. And one spoonful of cranberry sauce.

Fill half your plate with vegetables, preferably the kind not cooked in too much grease. If that's not an option, offer to bring a salad or a healthy vegetable dish like green beans almondine or roasted asperagus to contribute to the meal.

Have a small slice of desert. Then, go for a walk afterwards or better, offer to help clean up which will get you moving, and then go for a walk.

Eat slowly, taking small bites, and drink water in between them. That'll fill you up faster and give you the chance to really enjoy what you're eating.

Have fun! Good luck!

White turkey meat, cranberries, veggies (as long as they aren't swimming in sauce) & sweet potatoes(sorry, no marshmallows or tons of brown sugar), are all actually good for you. Make your pumpkin pie with splenda & fat free milk. If all else fails, eat everything in moderation & you should be just fine. The things that you need to stay away from are, the turkey skin, scalloped anything & decadent desserts. Good luck hon

Just leave the gravy and the pie alone. It's the crust that's not good for you.
