(2/5) + (3/8) =
changing to lowest common denominator
8(2/5) + 5(3/8) =
(16/40) + (15/40) = (31/40) or .775

(2 divided by 5) + (3 divided by 8) it equals .48
if you are adding fractions, it comes out to
