I get stretch marks, they are simply because you are growing. Stretch marks are genetic, and some people get them, and some people don't. It's all in your genetics. The thing that helps stretch marks is Palmer's Cocoa Butter, and there is a special formula just for stretch marks. It's not too expensive and you can find it at any drugstore. It sounds like you are a little overweight, but you are still growing and filling out and you just have to be patient to find out what you'll look like. Stretch marks don't go away, but they can fade. Keep exercising and eating healthily and understand that you are growing! It's okay.

It is a normal part or growing and changing during your childhood/teen years. Like the others said, it's not necessarily about fat, but could be that you're growing and changing. In fact, it doesn't sound like you are overweight at all. If you'd like to treat them though, you can put a stretch mark cream or oil on them, especially if they are still red such as Bio Oil, Palmer's Cocoa Butter Cream or Nivea's Stretch Mark Cream, all available from drugstores, Target and Wal-Mart. The key is to choose a product with cocoa butter and/or lanolin because they actually work to heal the skin. The newer your stretch marks are, the more likely it is that they will be lessened or elimitated with treatment. If left untreated, they will become less noticable but still there. It is best to treat them while they are still red. That said, do not let stretch marks define you; even if you don't treat them, you are still beautiful, inside and out. It sounds like you are a happy, healthy and active young woman; keep up this great lactive lifestyle. A lot of people could learn from you! You're doing great!

Actually, my sister had that problem. She actually did use that cocoa and lost a good amount of weight and her marks are gone. She had them on her chest and they disappeared and also on her butt and i was so surprised when she showed me they were gone. I was proud of her because she weighted 164 pounds at 5'9 but now she weighs 131 and HOT!! Her plan was running twice a day, lifting light weights, push ups and sit ups and eating smart. You can do it i believe in u

It's not unusual to get stretch marks at your age, I wouldn't worry about it too much. However, if you're serious about getting rid of them, your best option is to start a consistent exercise program.

yeah cocoa butter makes them softer and smoother ad eventually the redness wil go away but especially if youre black or hispanic they still remain very visible forever, tanning makes it better though in some cases
