The "Hindu Solution" to the quadratic equation is the same method that we now call "completing the square." This is a way to convert terms in the equation to the form of the square of a different polynomial, enabling it to be solved algebraically. I'm pretty sure a square is a square wherever you go. So are the techniques for solving quadratic equations. In other words, math is math.
