Well, at 55 she must have at least some assets right?
You don't need millions or even a million to retire. Speak to a financial planner.

Anyway, would an old millionaire playboy type want to marry a 55 year old woman?

That's a hard question to answer without knowing her present means. Assuming she's starting from zero, retiring in 5 years probably isn't very realistic. Being so close to retirement age also means that a regular job isn't going to get her there either. A day job WILL help with the day to day expenses though -- and every penny counts -- so it's a start.

In my opinion, her best bet -- and that of most people since a J.O.B. fails for 95% of people -- is to work during the day to make enough money to pay for living expenses while building her own business in the evenings and on weekends.

An internet-based business is an option but she may not be comfortable or willing to learn computer skills, deal with search engines, etc. If she is motivated enough, then e-mail me and I can recommend some good internet marketing sites. That way she can avoid wasting tons of time and money on the so-called gurus who shamelessly self-promote and cross-promote each other's products (all of which promise you quick riches on the internet). There are only two sources that I would recommend.

If not the internet, then another option is -- believe it or not -- network marketing. Here there are unfortunately even more bad companies that will waste your time. Again, there are only two companies that I respect out of the dozens I've seen come and go. E-mail me if you want suggestions.

Best Regards,
