If used correctly they are about 96% effective (meaning if you have sex 100 times 4 of those times would result in pregnancy) Most people do not use them correctly and that effectiveness is only at about 80% effective taking into account all the people who haven't figured out how to use a condom...I would go with birth control pills (99% effective) with condoms and spermacide. Remember...do not layer your condoms nor should you use a male and female condom together..

Perfect use of condoms is about 97% effective. If you don't use condoms properly (ie experience condoms breaking, have penetration before the condom is on, don't put the condom on properly, don't hold the end of the condom to avoid it slipping off after sex), your chances of getting pregnant are anywhere from 20-40%.

Condoms are good for STI prevention but, you should use something else in addition to condoms to avoid pregnancy. I don't use condoms unless I'm on antibiotics because I'm in a monogamous relationship and on the pill. Consider going on the pill or using another method in addition to condoms unless you are ready for unexpected pregnancy.

Condoms are very reliable.Buy only good quality, the risk of low quality is breaking.Secondly wear the condom before even small quanity of fluid comes from penis,ie condom must be put on just when it is erect.Do not reuse condoms. With condoms, after ejaculation, do not try for a second one ,even if penis is tight inside, because in the second attempt it may break or leak. When taking out the penis have grip on condom so that condom comes out along with penis.

condoms are wonderful.
I would purchase spermicide and apply it inside the woman prior to the session and be sure the condoms have it as well.

Condoms do break, so keep several around. Best wishes.

The failure rate of condoms can be as high as 20% according to the World Health Organisation.

My advice would be to learn Natural Family Planning. Your body has natural periods of fertility and infertility which are quite easy to identify. You simply abstain from sex when you ae fertile.

On a practical level, studies in the US have shown that couple who have sex before marrige are much more likely to divorce than those who don't. You may want to reconsider the future of your relationship.

they are not the most reliable method... you might want to use something else too. I dont use condoms im on birth control but thats because condoms are uncomfertable to me... you could use spermacide and a sponge or a cervical cap.

if you're actually not confident what to do, flow to a sanatorium or your human being well-being care specialist and tell your well-being care specialist that you want them to do a being pregnant try and continually use a condom once you've sex with your boyfriend or you'd be in probability in getting pregnant or you may get the Aids virus.

You are still at risk. If you use them right they are about 97% effective. However if it breaks there is a huge chance of getting pregnant.

Least intrusive form of birth control (compared to the pill) however the effectiveness is only as good as the proper use.
