Prior to that fateful day, they did not mind at all. Now they go to great pains to emphasize the difference.

Is there an adage about rats and sinking ships?

Cut and run describes the Republican party. Cut America in a partisan fashion, and then run their theocratic agenda down your throat. Let's stay the course of the Constitution and have checks and balances. We had to show another dictator by the name George a thing or two about democracy 230 years ago.

The campaigner in chief must feel dumber than he is after his party of god got spanked at the polls.

Bush is not a conservative. He is a theocrat and fiscally irresponsible. Republicans no longer hold traditional conservative stances.

There's a rift between the Conservatives and the Neo-Conservatives, which are not conservative at all. The Conservatives were for smaller government, less meddling in people's affairs, and fiscal responsibility. The Neo-Conservatives are creating new government agencies, trying to pass Constitutional amendments to take away people's rights, and backrupting America. The Conservatives were willing to go along with the Neo-Conservatives to stay in power, but now realize that the Neo-Conservatives have really screwed things up. The war on Iraq is huge cluster F, and people are starting to see how wacko the Religious Right agenda is.

Conservatives have been worried about the current Republican administration (the neoConservatives) for some time. They feel they don't listen and they create only a closed circle of supporters and constituents.

Conservatives feel they don't truly represent the American people. That's why Conservatives joined with Democrats and others lately, to run the other NeoConservatives out of government.

I loved Palin. she acknowledged to have first price ethics. And an ability to enrage democrats, close to to pres Bush, and for a similar motives - a first price human being with common experience.. i grew to grow to be into hoping she'd spend 16 years interior the white residing house, first as veep, then as pres, and that i'd appreciate yet another 16 years of seeing all the stupid and nasty people searching enraged - they deserve it. I nstead we are going to have some years of smugness, then people will keep in mind that democrat thoughts are re-springing up Roosevelts tremendous melancholy mistakes, with the further characteristic of destroying ability infrastructure.

Very little "conservative" about the way the Reps ran Washington the last dozen years. Heavy debt due to runaway spending, plenty of corruption and ethical lapses to go around, a record growth of government. Conservatives arent stupid (the Christian Right is, but not conservatives in general). They can recognize a runaway government when they see one.

The funniest part in all this were the ads with Republicans calling themselves independent voices for change, and not mentioning which party they were affiliated with, I was howling so loud, I thought the neighbors would have me arrested..Hey, can Bush do that yet?

Just like Democrats did nothing but criticize Republicans when they were in office, so Republicans shall do the same. Politics=Pointlessness

Wow, thanks for calling conservatives rats. Can't say I've heard of the adage... and with regards to what I'd compare liberals to, I'll hold my tongue.

I'm proud to be a republican. I don't cut and run, I don't change my direction when the wind changes. I am a person one can count on.
