First off, I am not one.

But I did reply to one about 2 hours ago with what I considered an intelligent, sarcastic response.

Now all record of that is gone.

It seems to me the way to get rid of these people is not to report them to Yahoo! and have their idiotic questions and remarks deleted but rather when you see such a question just never respond to it. If you all did that, they'd soon tire of the game and look elsewhere for their "fun".

So what do you think about this?

For the record, the deleted question had to do with the rules of online gay-bashing. My response went something like:

According to Miss Manners if you wish to be considered worthy of the appellation "civilized" you should first inquire of your intended victim whether he/she minds a bit of gay-bashing. If the reply is, "Why no, not at all" or something close to that, then proceed.

Well aren't you the understanding soul.

Walk in our shoes for a day.

Then come back and tell us that its ok to let the hate go unreported. Tell me then its ok to have the hate searchable. Tell me kind soul, if your child was questioning his/her sexuality, and sought answers and what he found was hate, and venom saying he is worth nothing and going to hell. Then kind understanding soul, when you do all that , then come back and say that we should just ignore the bad guys. Thats what they expect us to do. To lay back and take it silently on the cheek. Thats what thugs and bullies count on. Their targets have long learned that they had better speak up because "good kind souls" will only offer you tsk tsk tsk when the bullies, thugs and evil decide to take it the next step.

Ignore them? Not this queer, not now, not in this place

You say "when you see such a question just never respond to it"... well, isn't that what you were doing?

Look at the question posted after yours titled "Should I kill myself?" Getting rid of people who would make an inappropriate response to a question like that is more important than you getting to answer with a sarcastic response.

this really is a two edged sword. if they leave them in then they will always get a response. people are people. which is worse? making others aware that there are people who hate for little or no reason or hurting the feelings of basically innocent people?...hhhmmm....i think i'd rather bang my head on the desk than to have to judge how others think, i have a hard enough time controlling myself!...lol

Sorry, but if hate goes unanswered it is strengthened. Hooray for Puffy and Chris saying what needs to be said! Its about time we saw some backbone.

Though you probably mean well it comes across as a bit arrogant and patronizing. You're probably a nice guy and all that, but I really think Puffy and Chris got it right, you got it almost right.

Report the haters, report those those that support the haters, and hope that yahoo gets 'em.
