do you mean the 'American Revolution'?
well the first reason is the Quartering Act. the quartering act is an act that made colonists quarter, or house, british soldiers in their homes.
another reason is the Proclamation (think mispell) of 1763. it prevented colonists from moving wesword past the appalation mountains. it violated their rights as britians.
THe third reason is the Sugar Act. THe sugar act is simply a tax on sugar, molasses (which is syurp) and other sugar products. this angered the colonists because colonists loved to drink tea with sugar.
The fourth reason is the Stamp Act. THe stamp act is a replacement for the Sugar Act. I am unshure about when the stamp act was repealed, though. the stamp act is a tax on legal documents, stamps, even playing cards, etc. (pretty much any product that has paper in/on/ or is paper
The townshed act is another reason. i dont know what it exactly did, but it isnt a tax. i think it was a limit on what the things that colonists can do.
The Blockade of Boston Harbor is another reason. it was a wall of ships that blocked ships (mainly ships that carryed imports) from coming into the colonists.
there are many other reasons why, but these are main reasons

Essentially; greed. For me to explain would mean to rehash what you already know. Ask yourself if the action taken was really necessary. Could there have been another way? Too, when something like the Presbyterian Church in America sanctions rebellion, revolution contrary to it's authority and charter, it does so either out of corruption or fear. Either of which negates it's standing as letgitimate as the American colonials did.

Origially, the colonists fought for our rights as Englishmen, specifically voting rights and representation in the Parliament. By spring of '76, we wanted a divorce.

The colonist felt that they were being just a little too over taxed, and didn't feel they were getting such a good bargain for their high taxes and they asked for their independence through the declaration.
