My wife was a maid at the "Desert Sands" she said they changed the blankets, supposedly twice a week but, some of the maids don't take the time. You see the maids have 17 rooms to fully clean each day, no matter what, you don't do it, your out. So, many skipped some things, blankets were one.
My wife did her entire work load but, like her friends, in order to achieve this, they all skipped their breaks and many their lunch period and ate on the job, against orders also.
My wife retired after ten years. We moved.

This has been on the news lately. They say that the top blankets have a lot of germs on them which indicates that they don't wash them very often. I usually try to cover up with the sheets, which look clean and try not to use the top blankets get close to my body.

they had a 20/20 special on this, and i was so grossed out. they wash the sheets everytime a new person comes in, but the comfortor (the top part) only gets washed a few times a year. the reason is because there so heavy and so hard to wash and you can only do one or two at a time. they suggest you take the top part off!

Not absolutely sure and suppose it would depend on the HOTEL itsself but one guy told me that they washed them once a week
