My battery is dead I drove it two miles parked and dead again. How long do i need to leave car on and drive for full recharge? The reason i killed it was using a stereo system. I since unplugged it.

If your battery is dead...its dead...it will no longer hold a charge. Driving long distances will help regain some charge but it will likely be lost again after a few restarts or a small amount of time. Youll likely have to buy a new battery ($50-70) ...and buy another one for your stereo if your using and amp and all.

good luck

You need to have the battery charged separately out of the vehicle. It is not good for the alternator to have a very low battery. After you get a charged battery in your car drive it to a place where you can have you electrical system tested. Battery condition, alternator, starter draw, electrical drains, etc. To answer your question directly.....not far, when the battery dies the car stops.

as long as the car is running it will be fine the only reason the battery wouldn't last while it was running is if he alternator quit working then the battery will last however long it say on the battery if the charge is lost from the alternator on the battery where it says where the cranking amps is another number like 90 or 60 thats how long the battery is suppose to last if the charge is lost

The battery is only used to start the car after that the alternator takes over depending on how dead the battery is should only take an hour but if it does not take a charge your battery is junk

the car will run forever as long as the alternator is working and you do not turn the car off once you get the thing started-sounds like you need a new battery if it will not hold a charge

Shut everything electrical off leave it run for about an hour, cheaper to put a charger on it. Trickle charge it over night.

if it will hold a charge you should run it for a couple hours and hope that your alternator is working correctly. sometimes when you kill a battery it will not charge back up especially if the batt. is old

You drove enough to find out that your battery is gone.
