I have had severe heart burn for 2 days now. what could be causing this it is very uncomfortable I have not changed my eating habbits or anything. Any responce would be appericated.

I have tried anti acids etc also have tried drinking milk.

If nothing is helping with this and it has really been a couple of days you should really see your doctor. You might something a lot worse than heart burn going on.

The flap that closes the stomach off from the esophagus is not doing its job and stomach acids are being sprayed up into your esophagus giving you the sensation of heartburn. I've found that being out of shape and stress exacerbate the problem.

Acid in the stomach (normal) escapes up the esophagus towards your throat (not normal).

Easily treated with antacid
