Spend time with the people that you love and care about. That's what the holidays are really about.

My guess would be the same way you would cope with any loss. Change of a major kind always brings up memory's and holidays and birthdays hard times to cope. It is hard to avoid because no matter how you try it seems to come across your mind. You can get involved, keep busy but you are going to have to deal with some emotions. There is no way around it and to ignore it will not make it go away. To say there is an easy answer would be a lie. You do the best you can and let the rest slide. I hope you find some comfort, and I wish you the best.

The best way is different for everyone. I found myself about 8 years back going out with friends for the holidays. It gave me a great distraction from wondering what about me. We went to places I would never have gone before with her. Now when I think back I wondered why did I even give it a second thought our splitting was the best for us both. I actually ended up having a great time that holiday season.

I know its tough thinking you will be all alone for the holidays but now I am alone by choice. I won't allow anyone to use or abuse my love for them ever again. I am more selective and know I don't have to have a woman in my life but I will find one for me someday I am in no hurry. We just haven't found each other yet.

Give gifts to those that truly need it (find information about women's shelters, foster children's programs, etc.), and give to people who will appreciate it. After that, find close friends and celebrate the holidays with them, if possible. If you have family, celebrate with them. And most importantly, feel good about yourself by decorating your home, even if it's just a small tree and a bowl of fruit. Invite someone to Christmas who may be alone for the holidays. They'll appreciate it, and you'll feel better, too.

Two ways to cope, either stay busy and volunteer to help the needy. Or pamper yourself with a good book or a nice quite vacation. Take Care and enjoy life.

The best way is sit back, think about your past, identify your wrongs , make a change by learning from your past but not living on it. there's always a reason for any occurence in life. so move on and look forward to a greater height... i wish you the best...
