Do you run the AC alot? It could be condensation from your AC until dripping into the floorboard.

I didn't catch the year. Have you checked the windshield area for rust, has the car been in an accident where spot welds may have broken and water is coming in thru the welds. Where exactly is the leak. On a dry day put baby powder around the windshield edge @ the moldings. Have someone blow air around the inside of the glass , if the powder on the outside starts blowing off the area it was placed. Theres your leak..

I'm not sure what kind of car it is, but here goes. If its getting wet in the rain, then you may have seal problems. Like the windshield or door jams. If its hot weather, then a plugged AC drain at the evaporator could be your problem? Generally you would see more water on the passenger side if this is the case. Also, does it smell like maple syrup? Or leave an oily residue? This would indicate a leaking heater core. Hope this helps.

You must check that because some rusty on the car floor might have become a hole, that's usual in old models I just have my 91 Ghia serviced because of something similar.

what i did to keep water from collecting in my car was remove the carpet, rubber under-carpet stuff, and primer, take out the bung plugs, then repaint the entire floorboard of the car. i did not re-install the carpet. it looked cool and drained great. that may be a bit much for you though.

first you have to find where the water is coming from that is getting your floor wet . it is most likely the heater core leaking onto it you will have to repair it when you can dry out floor

you may have a bad heater coil and its leaking in the floor. or you could have holes in the floor board and you have to remove the carpet and plug the holes.
