I have a classic car that needs rear floor pans (must be made from scratch) and has a large rust hole 3in by 6in in the rear quarter. It also has a few bubbles above the doors near the roof seams. I know you have to see it to have any idea of whats involed, but whats a range I might get when I take it to a body shop? Oh yeah I dont really want bondo, just sheetmetal.

If your actually going to go to a resoration shop your probably looking at $65 and hour and like you said it is nearly impossible to tell how bad your car really is (what kind of car is it...some cars parts are more than others). For the rear quarter panel you will probably want to look into a new one. Trying to re-create the lines and all will likely look like crap or cost more than the panel itself.

If your serious about this you should look into restoration shops in your area and have a few of them look at it.
