You cant say in general as it depends on what you are talking about. Professionally? I would say men at this point as they are still higher paid and hold a majority of management jobs. Although this is changing as women, as a minority, many times gets preferential treatment during the hiring process. Personal life? Definately women. Especially when you speak about child custody or divorce. Men get eaten alive in court (and Im a woman). Its unfair that men have to give up 1/2 of what they own to a woman whos never contributed. I think the woman should be eligible to recieve the exact percentage of what she has contributed to the marriage. Take poor Paul McCartney. His fortune was made BEFORE he met Heather, yet she is going for 100 million. She may not get that, but she will get something. Men also get a bum deal on custody. Many times only getting every other weekend and two weeks a year. I have to say, I really hate Britney Spears husband, but I hope he gets half. Then maybe women will start being fair in court.

I think both sides have a hard time of it but only a man can justify coming home & turning on the tv and tuning out the woman. Meanwhile the woman has come in from work,& has no time to sit down & watch telly because there is dinner to make & bills to pay, taking care of kids because dad needs his"downtime", after dinner she has to pack lunches for all put away any left-overs& do dishes, get the kids bathed & to bed just in time for her romeo to feel a little frisky. Men have it way better!

I am probably one of the older people that participate in answering questions on this site. I can remember when Mother's stayed home and Dad's went to work. Women did originally have a better deal out of life once they were not treated like property and were treated like human beings. But they have given a lot of it up for the sake of equality. In the '50's it was stated that the women in the USA were the most pampered population of the world. We stayed home and raised our children and took care of our homes. We were pampered, respected and well taken care of. Today, we work as hard as our husbands in the work force and then come home and take care of our homes and somewhat take care of our children. Now it looks like men have the better deal.

What a question! As a woman, I want to say that women get the better deal but must avoid making sexist comments! I love being able to be open with my emotions etc. and being really close to girlfriends, whereas I feel that guys put on an act of bravado a lot which can't be fun! But I think it's unfair that women have to go through period pains etc. and childbirth, so I might suggest it's a draw.

1.they ´ve got better salaries for the same jobs and are still taken more seriously in many countries.
2.they suffer less from depression and in general are much better in disconnecting....women tend to think and analyse problems too much..men find it easier to act...
3. no pressure from the biological clock to have kids..they can look for a younger woman and wait to have kids until they are older...
4.less pains ( no periods and deliveries)
5.less pressure to be beautiful
6.less pressure to be popular and loved
7.the world is a safer place for men (fewer rapes,incest,assaults)
8.they suffer less from feelings of guilt when smt goes wrong
9.they don´t need to go to the gyneocologist
10.in some countries they still have more rights than women, or at least there is a double standard for them
11. they suffer less when it is cold (more muscles)

I didn´t know I could think of so many things... I think I´ll stop now....I am a woman and this isn´t making me feel very happy...

MEN.. Women now have to do all the things they ever did plus do the mens job like: work 50 hour weeks, bring in the money, drink copious amounts of larger, shag the workforce, drive the children here there and every where, including the babysitter Hmm, and make all the major (lol) decisions.

Men. We dont have that montly thing, we dont have the natural responsibility of bearing young, and we're bigger and stronger!! I almost feel guilty that Im a man, but then agian we do have to make the most effort in the old courting thing, we are under pressure as regards potency and women live longer!!

Well theres not really a right answer to that. In some cases here are some reasons that women would rather be men:
- Period
- Child Labor
- Hot flashes
- metepaus (incorrectly spelled)
- breast cancer
- miscarige
- homosexuality
And for some cases, why guys would rather be girls:
- homosexuality
- inpregnating someone
- theres not really many reasons why that would ever happen, and if there is then your just playing gay.
