Yes. But, there is such a thing called destiny. Not the nineteenth century romanticised type, though. We all have a destiny to fulfill and usually arrived at by the kind of people we work ourselves toward being. Good or ill.

I guess it is about learning to moderate how much time and energy you are willing to give others. Otherwise, burn out is a high risk. I admit, I sometimes feel as though its all about other people, but sometimes its all about me too. I guess at this point I have found a decent balance.

I do. I find that at work a lot of people stuff around spend a lot of time making fun of others and generally causing a disturbance to others. It ticks me off when I have to compensate for others slackness.

I can choose whether to give or deny my time and energy to others.
Most of us have to give time and energy to earning a living and to our families.
We all have a choice in other pursuits.
