With Guitar Tracks Pro, how do you eliminate the 1 sec delay when recording?

Whenever I play my guitar into my soundcard to record in Guitar Tracks, I get a 1 second delay in sound from the time I hit the note until the time I hear it through the monitor. ANy ideas? I am running Version 3 of Guitar Tracks Pro

This problem is called latency.

The solution is to get a better sound card, one optimized for ASIO drivers. And of course, you need to install the proper ASIO driver.
