The ultra right Christians should form their own party so that they can be fully marginalized.

Because the Democrats have a 51-49 majority, the Reps are dying out? Thats a ludacris comment. If the Reps did die out, the conservative branch of the Dems would break from the Libbies, making a new Republican party. Conservatives will never go away, neither will the libbies. This is America, this is how it'll always be

I don't see the demise of the republican party by a long shot. They have been around a very long time and because they are conservative, people do tend to lean that way, and will, once the new party in power begins their taxing and spending.

And no, I am not a republican, but a Conservative Democrat from the 60's. JFK has rolled over and cut flips in his grave with the antics his party is pulling on the people.

Keep your eyes open cause the conservatives will take back over government and try again to put in permanent tax breaks for the working class. Notice I said " working class" cause the liberals want to tax the rich, but not the Actors who support them, not the Congressmen and Senators themselves. If a man works hard, goes to medical school and becomes a Doctor making $125,000.00 per year, he should not be taxed higher because he worked harder to get where he is at.

If you believe in that principal, then you are a welfare leach and all you want is socialism. Take from those that have and give to the lazy ones who have not.

As much as I hate to say it, the Republicans are not going anywhere. The two party system will keep them in power since they, along with the Dmeocrats control it. If there was a two party system I would approve of, it would be between the Greens and the Libertarians.

Did the Democrat Party die when it lost the Congress in 1994?
And the Presidency in 2000? You must be a short term thinker.

How far will the Democrats go with Rangel pushing for a draft?
I am looking forward to the results of that fiasco!

Not only do I agree with everyone who is saying that the Republican Party is not dying out, but I'd point out that only a propagandist would even say such a thing. Don't pay this asker too much respect. He's here to irritate and propagandize, not to ask a serious question.

There is a political mathematic theory that our system of politics will always be bipolar (slight joke intended). It has something to do with the similarity of candidates splitting votes.

I hear conservatives are interested in a party that supports conservative values.

The republican party is not dying out. The democrats have always had more members than republicans, so it was quite amazing that we kept winning elections. From what I've seen so far of your.....eh......new congress.....the Republicans will be back sooner than we even expected.

As we saw with the Democratic Party, which was dead for six years, the two parties will rebound when the other fails.

The Republican party isn't going anywhere. Both parties have had their ups & downs, many swings bigger than what you see now. The pendelum will swing back again.
