If you are sexually active, the first thing you need to do is to take a pregnancy test. Hopefully you are not (boys are evil and will do anything to get in your pants- trust me). The first two years of a girls period are usually irregular, as your body is establishing its own cycle. So, being irregular is regular :)
My period was always totally off schedule and irregular for my first year and a half.
If you do skip this period completely, still schedule a checkup with your doctor to make sure everything else is regular. A few things like anemia, excessive exercise or weight loss can cause you to miss periods, and it is always a good idea to go get checked out just in case. Your MD will probably just tell you that you might be "regularly irregular" meaning that your period just might be different from the usual, but nothing to worry about.
Feel free to message me back if you have any questions.

Ok im also in 9th grade and have been wondering the same thing and have had this problem. I think its perfectly normal and theres nothing to worry about. Such as i have skipped a month altogether and ive always had it again, the way it was before i skipped and i was told its normal. if you are truely concerned, talk to your mother or a doctor.

Yes, it can take almost 2 years for your period to be on a regular cycle. You said your a virgin, but do you fool around with anybody? It is possible to get pregnant without vaginal penatration. All it takes is for seman to enter the vagina. This could happen even if you still have your panties on. They would be wet from you, and the seman could make their way through the material, and into your body.

it's ok to be a couple days/weeks late, it's not a big deal unless you know you have done something wrong.

if you still don't get them and are worried, then you should go to the doctor and see what he/she has to say
