Yes, NOTRE Dame is a member of the Big East in all sports except:
Football-1-A Independent.
Men's Lacrosse- Great Western Lacrosse League
Men's Ice Hockey- Central Collegiate Hockey Association
Men's and Women's Fencing- Midwest Fencing Conference

Not in football. They are an independent. But in basketball and a few other sports, they are members of the Big East conference.

Not really a conference but definately in NCAA. They will never join a conference. Their fanfare, $$$ for being an independant and huge TV contract will make sure of that.

Thier football team is an Independent Division 1 NCAA team.
I'm not sure if any of thier other teams are in conferences.

Their football team is independent. But are still part of NCAA, so they can take place in the championship...if they were to make it that far...which wont be this year.

In football, no. Only because they get more money from NBC and bowl games but in everything else they are in the Big East.

In football they are "indpendants", because of money, tradition, and rivals. In every other sport they are a part of the Big East.
