I have given this question considerable thought. Considering we are dealing with the "pale"ozoic period and the plant characteristics thereby, I surmise the following: We have the pale green, pale brown, pale red and, of course the pale yellow. The zoic period still remains a mystery, however the fact that it begins with a "z" allows us thinking kind to associate the zoic period with, whatever, the last letter of the alphabet.
