How about the worst thing I could have told someone, but didn't.
That I found her husband's wedding ring in the storage console of their car. My friend's husband was killed in a car accident and when they brought his "personal effects" to her in the hospital, the ring wasn't there. I went to the car to look for it and found it. He had been out with "friends" that night. They had been married only 5 months, she was so distraught already. Why add insult to injury? I had seen him out with other women before they got married, she never believed he would cheat on her.

While working in the hospital, the worse thing that I had to tell someone is : Classmate and close friend of my family that their loved one had passed away, the morning of discharge had to be rushed into surgery for a blood clot that escalated their heart rate, had a massive heart-attach and died.

this is hard even now and probably will be for the rest of my life. in 2003 i was in a firefight outside Baghdad and accidentally shot and killed a friend, It was reported that he was killed in combat. that's about all i have to say about that, in 2005 when i retired from active service i went to see his parents and explain what really happened on that day and ask for their forgiveness. my friend was a great soldier and he loved this country so. i can only try to become the best father to my children and husband to my wife, to try and feel that i have done something worthy of being here. i e-mail his parents about once a month and they have accepted me as one of their own.

When my youngest brother was killed in a snowmobile accident his wife called me first and asked if I could/would tell my parents and brothers and sisters for her. That was hard, especially telling our parents that their "baby" was dead (he was 39).

Do you enjoy reading about other peoples worse nightmares??
I hope you don't. I hope you want to hear about their horrid mishaps to help yourself because you might of gone through something very traumatic personally. Life is full of love... Life is full of joy.. life is full of pain...but mostly Life is Life.
