I just thort- for people who've already seen the 1st part of series 3 - maybe Ben wasn't showing Sawyer another island @ all on the cliff, but a reflection of the only island, on which they all live, reflected on the electromagnetic bubble thing they got goin on there? Just a thought...otherwise how did they manage to get Kate Jack and Sawyer to the other island having given their boat to Michael? Also- what WAS that thing Desmond was building on the beach after the whole whoooa time warp thing with him hearing what Locke said before it happened? Maybe time got messed up during the electromagnetic kapow thingy? Also- who else really wants to just SLAP juliette as hard as they can?

LOL about slapping juliette. I just want to slap ben for shaking up that bunny and for being an all around creep, I don't care if the bunny didn't die. Anyway, I like the bubble theory, I was thinking that they were still on the island and that maybe there is just a small second island off the coast that the Others live on... I'll bet they have more than one boat, why would they give their only boat to michael?

I don't think it was a reflection of the island they were on. You asked how they got Sawyer/Jack/Kate on the other island without the boat? That on is easy. The "Others" have in their possession a submarine. Episode 2 or 3 there was a scene in which Ben made a comment about it while in the Station that Jack is held.
Desmond built a lightning rod on the beach to protect Claire and the "baybay". He had previously warned her to move, but refused. So he built the rod to absorb the majority of the bolt. Something is definately going on with Desmond, but he is quickly becoming one of my favorite characters.

wow that's an interesting thought...could be true too cus I was wondering how did they get Jack, Kate and Sawyer on another island because they made Hurley walk back and I know they had bags over their head but wouldnt Jack, Kate and Sawyer have felt it if they had been pushed on a boat and carried across water?! its all soo confusing. I think Desmond is psychic. I like Juliette after her trick with the video though-I thought that was cool :D
