no it most certainly does not always involve sexual intercourse
yes it involves intercourse as intercourse is simply an exchange or interaction- but if you mean sexual intercourse then no, being a Dom does not always require that

I think that women who enjoy playing the dominatrix role find submissive men attractive on one or more of three levels: First, it takes great courage and self-confidence for a man to allow himself to be in that "emasculated" role; a guy who can do that is demonstrating that he can be uninhibited in his sex life, and partners who are open and adventurous are appealling in general. Want a non-BDSM example? Alice Cooper once said that the whole guys-wearing-women's-makeup thing in rock bands absolutely drove the ladies insane. It was rebellious, edgy, etc. which was more appealling to them than the non-manliness of it was unappealling. Next, a man in that submissive mode is showing his whole attention on the dominatrix, basically worshipping her. I have yet to meet a woman who doesn't like being the ultimate prize / end-all, be-all focus of a guy's attention in the bedroom. Finally, a dominatrix (one who's doing it FOR a lover, not for pay) knows that what she's doing, despite being sometimes painful or emasculating, is driving the poor guy wild, and I suspect she finds a lot of pleasure in being able to fulfill his fantasy.

Nope. It requires nothing except that you take and maintain control over the situation, and that might include beating some a**!
