Think of Jesus and of the great message of love he brought to the world.

Jesus taught us to love, to have compassion for others, to forgive and to heal others.

Christmas is the celebration of Christ's birth. It has become a commercial holiday in the U.S. with attention on gift giving, spending lots of money, etc.

To get into the spirit of Christmas simply think of Jesus and celebrate all that he gave to the world. Feel it in your heart and keep it simple, even if there is much to do. Keep it simple and shine all your love upon yourself and everyone else.

Merry Christmas and God Bless.

First, read the Christmas Story in the book of Luke, listen to Christmas music, decorate, participate in Operation Christmas Child, or donate some other things to a charity, do something nice for someone you don't know-it makes you feel good, start planning a Christmas Party! That always gets me in the spirit!

Come to Answers, read all the Xmas questions, turn on Launchcast and tune in the Christmas carols.
It's working for me!
The other good one is to have your friend call you, and tell you that she and two more friends had such a good time at your house last year, they want to come back this year. Problem: I was going to skip Christmas this year, I have a new job, and work weird shifts and hours. Either I get to decorating, or call them and tell them I can't. If I started now, I would not be done the week before Christmas, let alone shop for presents and cook and clean this messy house..It takes two weeks just to put the tree up in the living room, and set the collectables out! Never mind the rest of the house.
My place of work is collecting care and comfort items for the local nursing home. That helped a little, remembering as yuckey as my holidays will be this year, I have to work all of them, theirs might be worse.
Oh, well, Merry Christmas!

Smile! Remember that counting your blessings reduces stress, both yours and other peoples too. Hugs are also a great way to get into the spirit of warmth, love and joy that is Christmas. A nice bowl of oranges and some cinnamon candy in a pretty bowl will help to bring your sense of smell into the mix too. Our memories are triggered best by out sense of smell so add the scents of your past and be ... Spirited away.... if this doesn't help ... get some booze! The booze is just a joke.... Merry Christmas!

The best way to get into the Christmas Spirit is to listen to Christmas music, (that's my proven method!). It also helps to decorate around the house, drink egg nog, and BE MERRY!
I also like to bake gingerbread and sugar cookies, and decorate them to your taste! I also like to watch Christmassy movies, like Rudolph the Red Nosed Reindeer from when I was little. I also think The Santa Claus and Elf are great choices, too!
Reading Christmas Books before the Holiday Season arrives can enhance your Christmas experience.
Lastly and most importantly, just have fun and be with family. You know what Christmas is all about, so enjoy this! Be with family- you know the drill. Happy Holidays!!

Watch the movie Christmas Vacation with Chevy Chase...or A Christmas Story. If I'm not in the Christmas Spirit by the time i'm done with either of those movies, then I don't know what will get me in the mood, lol.

Around the fifth of december decorate for the season, play Christmas music, burn cinnamon candles, invite some friends who enjoy Christmas over. Go out ot malls and enjoy the decorations and displays. Think good thoughts and be thankful for what you have. Lastly, pick someone who is in need for Christmas and give them a box of food items and a few small gifts. Good Luck, and have a Merry Christmas.

Listening to some Christmas music while putting up seasonal decor always helps me to get in the spirit. Shopping might help too.

For me personally, I read the short story "The Christmas Box"... there is a movie version too. But the book is priceless. It speaks to the heart of the season.

We tend to have lots of Christmas music, my daughter loves watching Bing Crosby in White Christmas... while she decorates her room. While the rest will say "Miracle on 34th original version... or "Yes Virginia, There is a Santa Claus"... are their favorites along with Santa Clause, Prancer, and Home Alone series...

We usually find a family in our town, who's either parents been working hard but medical or loss wages has curtail extra money. U could start ur holiday celebrating by doing small random acts of kindness.

When I am trying to get in the Christmas spirit I like to listen to Christmas music. I like Christmas music so much that I find myself singing or humming it all through the year. LOL
