Beware liberals and conservatives, Yahoo! may disable YOU at any time for posting in answers!!! No warning, no obvious reason, just *poof*.
Be wary, this could happen to you! My ENTIRE account (mail, geocities, mypage, 360) was deleted without warning just because somebody in India thought I had crossed some imaginary line.
I imagine since I have many questions posted, and a small percentage of them are removed for rather arbitrary and often nonsensical reasons, my 'total' may have triggered some deactivation feature.
I also have many best answers, near 10% across categories, and don't feel I've ever "abused" Answers in the way others do here.
Is Yahoo! censorship going to far? Was I deleted by a conservative censor who simply didn't like what I was saying, or misinterpreted something I wrote through Conservative eyes? Or are the censors in India and lack understanding current events that we are discussing, and misinterpret comments?

No I am not answerman. I am now the deceased "thehiddenangle". Most recently, I had a couple posts on Trent Lott's nomination, asking conservatives how they feel about it, and a couple on Bill O'Reilly's opinion that SF should be threatened in order to comply with military recruitment.

No, not temporary. Its been dead since Saturday.
I contacted customer service, no response.

Yes, I did all that, and it said when I tried to test the password that I had been "disabled by Yahoo". Its true. Geocities page and all that, gone....
I may be paranoid, but they really are out to get me!
I've had this account for nearly 10 years.

Whoa Duuude! You had your account for 10 years? What on earth happened? Definitely not fair if you've been on the up & up.
Yeah, I think alot of us did get it. Could just be heavy useage. Unless you are posting sick sexual info or cussing to extremes, I don't think you will get booted. Don't know if you're lib or not, but most conservatives will give libs a wicked wild time without much reporting. Most of us like to express views, get mad, get silly, etc. Its the people who can not relax and ignore questions and answers when they are in wrong mood that will report abuse. I wish people would just ignore it when some of us get bantering in a mildly crude manner. Its fun sometimes.

I just consulted with your fellow Floridians and it was determined that there was a hanging chad on the ballot that asked if you wanted your account deleted. Since they couldn't tell if you punched the ballot or not, the 89 year old retired cafateria worker decided for you that you needed your account deleted. You will have to wait until 2008 to have you account re-instated.

explanation.
If you saw a few of the questions posted in the 'surveys &
polls' category - you would really wonder what Yahoo is
paying attention to!!

because when someone doenst like what you post, they are going into your profile, and looking where else you posted, and they are reporting those questions too, so yahoo gets a buncha voilation reports reguarding your user name/acct, doenst even read them or check them to see if whatever they are claiming is true, and they delete your account.
Its happenin constantly in the immigration forum. The same people get delted daily ove rand over and keep coming back.
The whole report for abuse button is stupid!

Don't get paranoid. I was just "disabled" too. Probably a power blackout for a minute in the yahoo office. - Although I admit, your explanation sounds a lot more interesting. Do you think soomeone in China was concerned about what I was about to answer? Please say yes, I could tell that to my grandkids some day, if I ever get any.
Edit:
If some of you guys believed half of what you were saying, you wouldn't write it, because you would believe Yahoo was going ot wipe out your accounts. Your outrageous answers are still there, however. Have you figured out why?

Good question. I answered a question "What is your political party?" I replied "None of you business". It was removed. I replied again with "Independant", again in a few minutes .... removed, I tried Democrat, in a couple minutes ... removed, I tried Republican, a few seconds, removed.They didn't cancel mail , though. I guess only certain people are allowed to answer questions.

I think everyone was just disabled for a few minutes. Probably a tech problem down at yahoo. I called the call center and they said they had too much call volume, so i'm sure everyone was having a problem

they did it to me to in immigrations for saying god bless America. yahoo wiped out my family photos, my kids saved work for school, everything. if people don't like what is said they report you. silly if you ask me. yahoo is letting this abuse mess get out of hand. it's best to store your stuff on your home account you get from the phone comp. or just down load it on a CD.

its happened to me about 5 times already ... some tards' on a power trip that cant handle debate just hiding behind a pc and disabling ur account coz they dont like ur answer ... i'll keep coming back ... *** the weener police ...
