It's really a matter of personal preference, since different humans function in different ways. Most people would complain that doing homework early in the morning is frustrating because they are tired and want to get to school on time without getting up super early (then you have those early birds who think 5 a.m. is sleeping in). Some people say doing homework late at night is hard because you're tired and you can't focus (where most night owls stay up late to do other things anyway and can run on less sleep). Most people usually prefer to do homework after school before dinner; they are still alert and can think clearly. That's what I prefer to do; it's easiest for me, but not for everyone. Like I said, it's a matter of preference.
Then there's always the choice of procrastinating until five minute before class starts... *wink* hope thats not you. :-)

I agree with "Lady" - its best to do yr homework after getting back from school while you are still in the learning mode. Then you have time for yr hobbies or games in the evening (if time permits) and can go to bed without the tension of worrying about pending homework - that's what I did during schooldays.
Also you are fresh in the morning to tackle school that day.
If you do homework in the morning before going to school, you are already tired and may not be able to concentrate in school.

Research shows the longer you wait to review learned material the less you will retain. If you can not actually DO your homework in the evening when it is given and if it MUST wait until the next day to be completed at least try to take 10 minutes to review your class notes from that day. The more you review within 12 hours of learning it the first time the more you retain, and therefore the easier the homework will be the next morning.

The best time to do your homework is either in class if you have extra time or directly after school. If you do it late at night or early in teh morning you will most likely be tired and your homework will suffer because of it.

Morning is better because you can function clearly after sleep, but there is risk: you sleep in and go to school without you homework done.
Late at night will make sure your homework is done but it affects your mind (if you stay up too late, you can't do anything in the next morning), as well as your appearance (ex. bloodshot eyes).
The best time to do homework is right after school when you are still in a learning mood and the lesson is still fresh in your mind.

Personally, I always procrastinate, leaving everything to the last minute. I think it is better at night because you are done with everything else ( I hope) and you are also under pressure to finish it quickly so u can have time 2 sleep and also don't have 2 worry to do your homework the next morning.

Mornings are always better since you are rested and fresh to face the challanges of the new day--homework is one. Since you can wake up early there is no problem. I always worked in the morning.
