There are going to be around 25 MARINES and I know they eat a lot...I am also having Ham, two types of rice, mashed potatoes, green bean casserole, corn, stuffing, yams....

Turkey and ham should be plenty, but if you are worried buy a turkey breast and cook it the day before. You'll have lots of white meat that way.

It is a 1/4 pound of meat per person. Because when you are having lots of other food, people will eat everything. That is how caters figure the amount to have.

How special is this Thanksgiving going to be for all of you! I would think that 25 Marines have hardy appetites and you are going to need at least another 18lb turkey. I'd bet that they all like fried turkey. That would be something they don't get in the service.
Please tell them all for me how grateful we are to them for all they do for our country. God bless and keep them all and may God be with all of you.

I think you're good. Usually you allow 1/2 to 3/4 lb of bone-in meat per person. You're serving ham too so not to worry. Enjoy and don't forget dessert. ;-)

I think one turkey is plenty.Maybe add a lasagna and a nice big salad,and some shrimp and you'll be fine.How nice of you to do all that.Happy Thanksgiving!
