Does anyone know of any old fashioned campsites? Im not really looking for the big sights with all the clubhouses and swimming pools. I would rather hear about small family run sites, with showers and toilets, not far from a nice beach in Brittany, thanks for your help.

Check out the Alan Rogers camp site book, they have all sorts listed. Also you could look at the Micheline camping guide book.
Been a while since camped in Brittany but there are hundreds to choose from.

Have a look around Brest or Camper. Rennes is a nice place as well. Next to Switzerland is really beautiful, if you want to camp around there (North-East of France)

You should check on the french movie " camping"....the place where they shoot it is called "le camping des flots bleus"...that's a typical one and the movie is really a good fun!
