I don't find it humorous but apparently everybody else does. Am I missing something?

The story is told from the perspective of ordinary kids, instead of the 'in' crowd. It shows us the many odd little details of life in a small town. A lot of us do find this amusing, because it was so much like real life.

I thought the characters were great, and NONE of them were celebrities, either. The story had a lot of thought put into it, and did not need to depend on the car chases, fiery explosions, and gunfire that is so common in films nowadays. I think Napolean Dynamite will become a classic film because so many people can relate to the characters.

Don't worry if you didn't find it humorous. There are many films with different types of humor... maybe I wouldn't 'get' the funny parts of your favorites, either!

There isn't really a point. Some would say that's the whole point. But that very sentence contradicts itself, doesn't it? Napolean Dynamite is a sweet story about a (somewhat geeky) teenage boy and his life in Idaho. There is humor, but it's subtle. Well, except for Napolean throwing stuff at Uncle Rico's van. That just kind of explodes on the screen. What did he throw, by the way? Was it an orange, or a tomato, or what?

I don't think it really has a point. You probably just don't have the right sense of humour to 'get' that movie. Personally I think it's one of the funniest movies I've seen, but I can understand how some people don't find it funny - it's very off-the-wall. I guess it's just a bit weird for some people, but that's ok : )

Everyone looks at things differently. It's a different kind of comedy that takes a certain type of humor to just...get it. Don't feel like it's wrong to not like it.

The only point I saw to that movie was to waste my time for the entire two hours I sat there to watch it. That was one of the most idiotic movies I have ever seen, and I still haven't forgiven the friend who recommended it to me. You aren't missing a thing.. trust me.

There really is no point in the movie. It just to make you laugh and wondering why it was such a good movie success.

You're not alone. . . I didn't find the movie humorous at all. Sorry my answer isn't very informative, but I'm as clueless as you when it comes to seeing a point in this movie.
