Fake is going to cost less, last longer (both through ceremony and through life in general), and don't have to be special ordered.

Real is going to cost more, last shorter, but they can look better.

I used fake and couldn't imagine having real flowers. Mine have been "alive" for 1 month and still going!

Best question to ask, in the future, say 20 years, what will mean more to you, a bunch of color faded plastic flowers, or a canister of potpourri made from your flowers at the wedding? In the present, finances mean allot, but in the future, what do you think you would have wished? Trouble is that most marriages don't last because we don't plan well for the future, this is not only something about finances, although, finances have the majority of the focus. It's also about the little things. Sometimes it's just best to ask what would I have wanted 20 years from now?

Why not do some of both. Have all the big ticket things made of artificial flowers and do your bouquets with the real thing. I can't imagine a bride walking down the aisle with fake flowers.....

Look at your budget and get a mixture of both if that's what is less expensive. You can have fake flowers for the table decor, on the walls etc. but keep the fresh ones for your bouquet, wedding table etc.

That is your call. It is a matter of preference. Real flowers die and fake you can keep forever.

There's nothing like real flowers. They look and smell so much better and you will have a million other mementos to keep that will last forever.

It's up to you. Depends on your preferences, and your budget. We had fake garlands since the wedding was outdoors in the heat, it turned out just fine.
