its precicely because america is more diverse. it seems counterintuitive, but there are so many people who are just waiting to hate someone, and there are plenty of differences to choose from
also, back when humans first started conquering everything in sight, there were some people who objected to taking land and rights away from people. some brilliant soul got the idea to tell everyone that
a) the people they were conquering were inferior, so they didnt deserve the land
b) the people they were conquering were inferior, so they were beneath worrying about and should be disdained.
c) the people they were conquering were inferior, so it was the job of the conquerors to forcibly enlighten them, or
d) the people they were conquering were inferior, and they would welcome their enlightenors with welcome arms.
these excuses just got ingrained, and then there was the fear of rebellion and fear of invasion that just turned into hate.
another thing people like to forget is humans are pack animals. we are decended from a ancestral species that spawned humans and many of todays primates, and that means that we have a lot of the same instincts. humans arent the only species that takes in other species as its own, even mother dogs and cats and pigs do that. humans arent the only primates that use tools, we just had a few advantages that gave us a head start. humans arent even the only species who use sexual favors to gain leverage in the "herd" theres at least one species of primates that do that.
this pack mentality leads to a lot of things, basically everything. jealousy killings, especially over sexual partners, career ladder, things like that. we fight our way to the top, we assert our superiority of those we percieve lower than us. this is where the race thing comes in. if you observe wolf tribes, pure white and pure black wolves are often either cast out or remain in the low ranks of the pack. its the same basic concept as incest, in the beginning it was to protect the gene pool, now its just an accepted custom, exect with the wolves, its the opposite. pack mentality leads humans to try to do the same thing, to keep the "inferior" or "different" people seperate.
the pack thing also explains a lot of bullying, and why people get such sick satisfaction from getting rid of other people in order to rise to the top.
well, that got a little long. enjoy.

Although I only remotely "get" your question (I happen to have a little bit of Native American heritage in me), I could see (a real) reason why you would ask such a question. Because the racist people get a lot of attention, especially in the media. It's kinda like that old saying, "The squeaky wheel gets the grease." The racist people b*tch and moan about people of other races (the "wheel squeaking"), therefore they get attention for it, negative or positive (the "grease"). But let me assure you that we are not the most racist country out there. It only seems that way, since it's the Americans who are racists seem to get the most attention. Hell, a lot of countries in Africa had some racist people in it (anyone heard of apartheid?) And middle eastern countries have racists there too. The list goes on. There is nowhere in the world you can go without running into at least one racist. I think the best thing to do is not become a racist yourself. Because if you do, then you become no better than the people who are prejudiced against you.

Actually, racism is alive and well throughout the world. I have been around and know that for a fact. Go to China. You'll love America. Go to Korea, or Japan; you'll love America. Go to places in Latin America; you'll love America. Yes there are racists here, but so very many of us are not.

Each of the immigrants from other countries went through the debasement and derogatory comments... they have learned to let it go. The same statements are still made to this day but, it is in a humorous manner. They accept it in humor... The Irish, Italians, Germans, all had pet names that still are active today... the only group that appears intolerant to this process of acceptance, happens to be the Muslim group. They are insulted by any comment regarding their person or their religion...

America is not the most racist country in the world, matter of fact its one of the most tolerant. Ive lived in Europe and the Middle East and America cant hold a candle. The only thing Americans are tired of, and that includes alot of recent immigrants, are people who come over here and expect US to change to suit them. You can do what you like, just dont come here and expect us to suddenly change things to the way they were in the place you are from

I see what you're trying to say, but America is not the most "racist" country in the world. Unless you have been to every single country in the world, then you can ask, other wise...
I do see what you're trying to say, but you can't make illogical judgments by generalizing.

human beings dont understand the theory that our government is a shadow via our companies. yet in a diverse thank you to place this is that the companies sleep with the government. they have a connection. the companies pay our government to make rules which will help them make extra money. working example, heres a itemizing of politicians who worked for the government and companies: Robert McNamara went from being president of the Ford Motor organization to secretary of protection below the Kennedy Adminstration. After that, he became president of the worldwide financial employer! Does that make any experience? Being president of the Ford vehicle organization, shifting to a central authority place, then a international place? a lot of different politicians have connections with significant companies like Halliburton, Bechtel, etc. in the worlds correct economies checklist, seventy 9 out of a hundred of the worlds correct economies are companies like AT&T, Verizon, ordinary electric, etc as a replace of countries! we are residing in a company worldwide, human beings purely dont recognize it. All you hear is the conflict of the monopolies, like AT&T vs. Verizon, Pepsi vs. Coke, McDonalds vs. regardless of. Walmart is dealing with themselves because of the fact they very own Costco, Sams club and different agencies.

They aren't the most racist contry. there is just more races to have opinions towards here.
For example..
If you go to China, there aren't really any Latinos so the Chinese don't really have any racist opinions towards them. (ps i am latina)
