most people wear then under a miniskirt/jeanskirt or with a very long shirt or sweaterdress over them. flats are cute shoes to wear with leggings too

Good question - even better is why and how long will this trend take to pass. Uuckk, I hate leggings.
If you are going to wear them, wear them under a long jerzy shirt with a chunky belt or underneath a short skirt .
And, most importantly if you are over 25 or overweight, leave the leggings at home.

With a dress or a skirt, I wear it with my Calvin Klein overalls, they are short but not slutty and I might wear a cute, babydoll tunic with the overalls. I usually pair that up with my leggings, and wear those with my silver and pink ballet flats - it is killer!

Wear them with a denim skirt, or with above the knee shorts, the above the knee shorts are less common.

hmm! just look on the runway... or on me!!!! i love leggings! people usually wear them under a skirt(it doesnt have to be denim people!!), a long teeshirt(preferably striped), a dress, or shorts(sport shorts or plaid shorts or dress shorts)!!!!!!!!
