No, because of the fact we did no longer stay in the two region. yet I certainly have long gone to the Portland, Oregon Rose competition Parade, which has been an annual parade in June because of the fact the turn of the century. it extremely is been coated by utilising television for some years and has been backed by utilising Macys. when you consider that they bought Meier and Frank's branch shop. they have a rose parade, and a Thanksgiving Day parade with a Christmas subject. That one isn't filmed, that i be attentive to of. it extremely is a small parade, in assessment to Macys' in ny. The rose parade in June would not have as many rose floats as they used to. They replaced the get right of entry to skills to having drift decorations be created from becoming issues inclusive of seeds and flowers of distinctive varieties besides as roses. each and each drift has a subject and there are agencies that layout and build the floats, with time donated by utilising the business enterprise vendors. There are limitless extreme college bands from all around, inclusive of many from out of state. The Shriners continually have an get right of entry to, and Pasedena has one representing the experience of Roses there. and often there is an get right of entry to from Japan, and Hawaii besides. it extremely is extremely colourful and extremely relaxing.

Yes I watch at least part of it every year. I've been meaning to go in person again but haven't gotten around to it.
I used to go when I was a little girl and what sticks really vividly in my mind was the year that I was 5. Somehow I got separated from my family. It was really scary at first but some nice people took me over to a mounted cop on parade duty. It was great. He swung me up on his horse and we rode around looking for my parents but I also had a bird's eye view of the festivities.
It was a great experience (luckily for me - but times were different) and of course, I was reunited with my parents at the end.
Btw, did you know that the employees get to march as balloon helpers, etc.? Don't know if they still do.

I put it on every year, and watch it as I cook, and get ready for guest. I have never seen it in person. I am from New Orleans, so I rather just watch parades from home.

i've watched both on tv and in person. i preferred on tv though, because in person, i had to stand for hours in the cold and then when you think your feet no longer exist, the parade is over and you have to start moving again. that causes your feet to wake up and then you get pins and needles.... at home its warm and there is food and hot chocolate and a fire in the fireplace.... :-)
