NO WHITE FLOUR products. Eat things with fiber... popcorn, apples, etc. and drink a lot of water.
White flour constipates as do many medications including some antibiotics and pain meds.
Mineral Oil can be taken orally and it helps.

First of all stop the beans until you get better. Beans can sometimes cause gastric problems. However, you do need to get fiber in to your diet. Eat more raw fruit and vegetables on a daily basis. Also, grains such as oatmeal is good, and put some honey in it. Honey helps the colon. Raw apples and celery are great to cleanse the colon. I would stop eating meat for a while. And it is a MUST that you drink plenty of water. 8 - 10 glasses a day. Avoid sugary drinks and dairy products, i.e., cheese, milk and ice cream. This should get you back to regular within three days.

What do you mean by saying that you are constipated? Does it mean that you don't have stools or that they are irregular. My experience is that constipation is mostly a psychological condition. Fromthe childhook it has been dinned in our ears that the first thing in the morning should a visit to the lavatory .And if we do not feel like it we fear that we have got constpitated and take fancy medicines only aggravating the condition. Forget it.There is any religious injunction that the first visit after waking up or even a visit during the day is mandatory. Each one has a different metabolism which affect the bodily responses.Do not repeat not take any purgatives at least not frequently., unless you feel positively uncomfortably--physically not psychologically.Leave it to your body to do what it thinks fit.
Perhps your water intake is minimal. You must take at least 10-12 glasses of water with an underline under water daily,if not more. And don't postpone the drining of water to the moment when you feel thirsty. Save the body the pains of feeling thirsty and callin out for water. And one more thing water means water. Simple H2O. Beverages even liquid ones and even milks is not a substitute for water. These drinks take away some water in the system for assimmilation--water over which the body had prior claim.
Eat a small piece of papauyya at night. Or a guava with just a suspicion of alum power thrown in first thing in the morning. And watch the stools solid stolls come out smoothly(i.e. don't watch them just feel the relief.)
And for God's sake don't feel guilty if you do not feel like visiting the lavatory daily or even regularly.
And don't hold over the stools at any time. I am sure you won't with your obsession over constipation.

Too much protein will cause the stools to look blackish and give you constipation. Get yourself a Vita Mix. Get some oat groats and put in a half cup. Add honey, a banana and a cup or two of milk. Mix it on high for one minute. Drink it down and in a few hours you should have the urge. You will be drinking a lot of fiber. If your stools are black, cut the protein for a while. If your constipation is really hard to get rid of then go to Richard Shultze's website and get his product for unstopping the blockage. He has intestinal formula 1,2 and 3. It works.

You need to increase your fiber intake through bran muffins, cereal or a fiber supplement. Also make sure that you are drinking plenty of water. When you are dehydrated, you can become extremely constipated. If you aren't having any natural bowel movements at all, you need to see a doctor. You may also be suffering from an obstructed colon or something worse. Don't let yourself stay backed up for too long.

Try taking slippery elm herb in bulk form. It will heal colitis which may be what you have. Along with it, take a viable strain of different acidophilus's including bifidus. Do NOT think that commercial yogurts have this, but certain ones are much better. Take acidophilus in pill form, kefir - non sweetened, and yogurt.
Also definitely get off medicines. Antibiotics usually cause a reaction of overgrowth of candida albicans in your gut. You need to replenish the good bacteria. MSM also helps your colon to heal and be healthy again.
God bless.

Avoid laxatives, other than natural ones. Be sure to get the equivalent of eight 8-ounce glasses of water a day (that includes the water in your food), and eat good daily helpings of fibre-rich vegetables. Try bran or oat cereals in the morning, buy or bake bran muffins, cut down on pasta and meat a bit. Talk to a dietician and follow her recommendations. If dietary changes don't work, get yourself to a doctor. You may have something going on in your intestine that shouldn't be.

I noticed one person mentioned water, and some of the other ideas are good ones. Make sure you're getting plenty of liquids, water, juice, whatever helps you get and keep hydrated.
If this kind of situation is new to you, and especially if you can't think of any environmental change that could cause it (diet, stress, etc), please consult a doctor if it persists for more than a week or two. Really.
