to sweet and sour lady.. i hate the word posers..
goth is nothing more than a lable.. for people whos personalities and style is a bit darker than most... and "preps".. or preppy people are like.. hm.. example.. cheerleaders..
i hate it when people use lables.. lables feed stereotypes..
if people would leatn to step out of that box, it would be great, but in this day and age.. i guess thats just how things work..
it looks like most of the people answering your question is feeding these dreaded stereotypes.. if you were to get to know someone wo decides to call themself a "goth".. you can see that they are probably oe of the nicest people that you may ever meet.. and more outgoing than you may think..

goth is a stereotype name for "freaky people" who seem "dark" in personality and style. i think goths call preps, again as a stereotype. preps seem to like abercrombie, american eagle, and higher class clothing and usually very athletic and gung-ho to school spirit!

goth people are afraid of sunlight al and that stupid stuff also emo dont cut themselves they just talk about cutting themselve when goths really do goth calls everyone preppy because we wear bright colored clothes and talk happy stuff

Just be yourself...you will find people to hang out with. Or you could put off this look until you make some really good friends then go back to the look. maybe you could even get some of your new friends to join in!

To be honest....I'm tired of hearing the word gothic, emo, punk rock, ect.....^_^. Kids these days are so.....into it. They're just wannabes and posers.
