Really what is wrong with being black? some people treat it as if it is bad to be black or they talk about our butts or say we have big attitudes or something.i really dont get that!

Alas, stereotypes. There seems to be a trend lately that if you can criticise one race or faith group, it's somehow brave because you're daring to suggest what many people secretly believe anyway, for instance in the UK the moment a politician criticises Muslim face-coverings there was a big row. I guess not many people know much about Islam so many people jumped on the bandwaggon. Because a politician had criticised Muslims, they could, too! There is a stereotype that all Muslims hide in ghettoes in our communities, plotting evil terrorist schemes.
Obviously it's different being black but I get the impression that it's now considered somehow OK to imply that all black people are, say, lazy and unemployed, just because there may be some communities with both a high level of unemployment and a high percentage of black people. As if colour of skin somehow determines everything else! It's ridiculous - white people who would not consider themselves racist say these things but would never dare talk that way about themselves. (To continue with my Muslim example, university staff are being asked to watch "Asian students" for signs of Islamic extremism, but no one seems to remember there are white fascists and terrorists in this country too...).
Basically, ignore them. There's nothing wrong with being black! Underneath we're all pink and squishy, so it makes no difference :)

Baby being Black is beautiful!!! Look at all tese white kids running around trying to be like us. I love being Black, I love my Blackness and I love my big butt! There is nothing wrong with being Black!!! I hope nobody tells you that or makes you feel that way.

I absolutely love being a Black woman and would never change anything about my life. I find it comical to listen to some of the stereotypes and ideas people have. I also get very angry at idiots who have no experience with people outside of their own miserable little environment. My family is multiracial and well educated. We all avoid people with narrow views and hateful ideas about others.

Only the racist people do that. I'm including the black guys who date white women because they think all black women have attitudes. Yes, even they are self hating racists.

You shouldn't listen to people like that. They are ignorant and low class if they are racist. Be proud of your heritage and color. The majority of people on this earth are different colors.
