I'm planning on travelling with family for a vacation in Greece and we've decided on Thessaloniki. We figure renting a place for the week is better than a hotel. Any feedback or advice please feel free thank you

A bit difficult to find a place for a week only, usually in Greece flats are rented for longer periods, and usually they are not furnished. However, try some estate agencies like Remax or others and you might find sth for short-term renting.

However, I'd suggest a hotel, there are nice hotels for all budgets seeing that Thessaloniki is quite a big city. Among the best are: Electra Palace, very centrally located, Macedonia Palace, GrandHotel, Mediterranean Palace, Hyatt Regency, Philippion, and Kempinski Nikopolis. There are also many others less pricy. Some hotels on Egnatia street, tho, are a bit should we say dodgy. Check out pics before you book.

Have a nice stay in our city

If you want to stay in Thessaloniki, you should find a good hotel. Rooms for rent are outside big cities, usually on the islands or at remote areas.
Try www.gnto.gr to locate yourselves a hotel in Thessaloniki within your budget.
Good luck!
