Trend Micro PC-cillin is by far the best anti-virus software on the market. I can scan with my McAfee and it will tell me my computer has no viruses. Scan with PC-cillin and what do you know. I have found that pesky virus!

Different people have different views about best anti-virus. 90% user will say free ones (AVG, AVAST etc.)are the best. Some are very confident about NORTON (may be because of its Powerful Co. Symantec-It is the costliest anti-virus). Some has given very interesting figures of Kaspersky, Prevex, F-secure, that they cost little but they protect 99% virus. But who will authenticate their statistics. One thing sure about NORTON that it slows down your system considerably. In my opinion, whatever anti-virus you are having, if u are visiting adults/porn sites regularly, then you are prone to get virus. And for an average person, I think he should first try free one (AVAST or AVG) for a while see the results themselves. I also heard that PANDA a new Spanish Anti-virus is also good and it costs just $10.

I've been using AVAST for like 4 or 5 years. Its free, it installs, scans and updates fast. It also doesnt slow ur computer down. It takes very little ram to run.

Norton. I've had it since I got my first computer back in '97, and it is still working. It's updated frequently, so I never have to worry about viruses or spam. It is agreat system, for a very low price. All others are cheap quality and too freakishly overpriced, so this is the antivirus for you.

You don't have to buy one. Try Avast before you decide to buy anything. Avast is 100% free and for me at least, the best there is. I've had it for 3 years with absolutely no virus getting into my PC. It's caught a few, though...!!!

Get it here. http://www.avast.com/eng/download-avast-home.html

macafee or norton but i would use macafee. although macafee asks weather you want to sent certain info to every site you use it's a lot safer but more annoying and norton is just the apposite. I mainly send info and i havent gotten a virus in all the 4 years i've been using macafee.
