Soak the sticker first to get rid of as much of the paper as you can, then apply Goo-Gone. It's the best thing I've ever found for removing sticky residue.

The absolute best way is to heat the sticker with a hair dryer till the glue becomes soft and the label peels right off. Then remove excess glue with a rag and a dab of lighter fluid following up with washing and drying.

Go to a good DIY store there is a commercially available product called goo be gone. As an alternative you could use nail varnish remover.

Rub a little olive oil into the sticker - cooking oil would probably work as well - let it soak in. It works on glass, plastic, everything, and it's environmentally friendly.

In UK you can buy an aerosol to remove sticky labels from anything. Sold by Robert Dyas type shops.

Fingernail polish remover and a cotten ball.Turpentine works too.Or you could try putting hot,soapy water on it,let it sit ten minutes then rub it off.
